Bush Sports Hall

Riverstown, Co.Louth

McGarry Ní Éanaigh Architects

In the context of its natural setting this building (school and local community sports hall) is thought of architecturally as having the character of an ‘erratic’ - a shaped form of particular scale, sensitive to and drawing from its context and by its placement offering new spatial relationships. The render colour was given particular consideration - a natural earthy clay tone was chosen which changes considerably with the weather. The three dimensional imprinting of the building name under the main entrance overhang the recognised the hall’s wider community status.
