Ronan McCann

MRIAI

Director

Ronan first worked with McGarry Ní Éanaigh Architects as an architectural assistant during his studies in University College Dublin before returning following his graduation with first class honours in 2009. Throughout his circa 15 years with McGarry Ní Éanaigh he has worked on a wide variety of projects and proposals including housing, commercial, retail, urban design, education and recreation projects at a variety of stages and scales. Ronan’s strengths lie in resolving complex brief and regulatory requirements through architectural design, the effective communication of architectural solutions, and their realisation through the procurement, contract and construction processes. In his 15 years experience Ronan has worked on projects at all levels of responsibility - as both assistant and project lead - providing him with a strong holistic understanding of the architectural design and construction processes. Ronan has a particular interest in architectural modelmaking and drawing and their role in the design process, and has realised a number of installations and exhibition pieces as part of ResPublica.ie. He also has particular expertise in the area of Contract Administration, with a focus on the Public Works Contracts suite, and was awarded the prestigious Nael G. Bunni Medal for outstanding course work in the Trinity College Dublin Construction Law and Contract Administration Postgraduate Diploma Course in 2021.
